For exercise today I ran stairs. Yep, you saw that right. I went up and down 4 flights of stairs for 10 minutes. That’s it. I say it like it was easy. But nope. My legs wanted to fall off and I wanted to pass out. But I didn’t! 10 minutes seems like no time until you go up and down stairs as fast as you can as many times as you can… sometimes that really beats you up!! Great exercise though. It was an easy way to add in cardio to increase endurance and strength without requiring a lot of equipment. I felt good afterwards but will most likely be sore.

The inspiration for my stair exercise was because I saw this quote earlier today on Facebook. I realized this stands so true for our lives. If you do not enjoy the journey or enjoy each stair you will not appreciate the top. You do not just wake up and get to the top, as you cannot get to the top just by staring from the bottom. You take to take one stair at a time. Yes, you can take two at a time, but you get the point!
Now, what about food? Well, I made another simple smoothie today. I made a smoothie with my Ideal Shake Meal Replacement shake (see link below or find it on my Amazon Store page). It is the only meal replacement that I’ve found to taste good but not have a lot of ingredients I cannot pronounce!
I made this one for breakfast:
1 cup of frozen berries (I used a mix of raspberries and blueberries)
some fresh ginger (I ground my own from a root with my Nutri Bullet- also in my Amazon Store)
1 scoop strawberry ideal shake
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (I used Califa Farms)
I added ice and mixed everything in my Nutribullet!!! Delicious and I was full for hours!
