Many women return to exercise but notice “differences” during their normal activity level. Postpartum care is tailored towards your individual needs so we can continue to progress forward.
Unfortunately, leakage (aka incontinence) happens in every 1 in 3 women. It is common but that does NOT make it normal. Ready to stop feeling embarrassed?!
This is for the postpartum athlete who is unsure of HOW to return to her normal activity level or is unable to progress towards her PR.
I will help you learn the cause of your pain while learning to manage or alleviate you of it. This can include: pubic symphysis dysfunction, SacroIliac Joint pain, low back pain, groin pain, vulvodynia, pain with sex, pelvic pain, and many more.
This is for women who are currently pregnant and are having difficulty with exercise, normal daily activities, or pain in general. Also during pregnancy we discuss preparing for labor and birth!
This is for the woman who has been told or is unsure if she has “diastasis recti.” This requires care and guidance on proper exercises to perform and what to avoid!
I am also a Crossfit coach, a Crossfit athlete, and I am very active. Dr. Kaylee made me feel comfortable and was very knowledgeable. I can do nothing but sing her praises. She’s amazing if you’re having any signs or symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction. If you’re not sure, talk to her, she definitely educates you and she definitely gives you help.
— Dr. Madalyn Turner, DC
Despite my active lifestyle and healthy diet, I was never able to properly retrain my midsection. Within 2 months I was literally breathing better, feeling better and my dreaded mommy pooch is no longer. Of all the doctors I have ever worked with, Dr. Simmerman is the most compassionate and caring.
— Dr. Sullivan
Before I saw Kaylee, I would not have been able to go on a long walk or to the park with my son without having to go to the bathroom multiple times. I was not able to be athletic, not able to do anything requiring long endurance, or being away from a restroom facility. After seeing Kaylee, I am athletic again, keeping up with my kids, and I do not have to worry about being uncomfortable and to me that’s PRICELESS.

Dr. Kaylee is amazing! Very personable, very knowledgeable, she makes you feel very comfortable, especially with it being a sensitive and personal issue.
Dr. Kaylee Simmerman is wonderful! She is very compassionate, and through with her treatments. Dr. Simmerman explains what is going on with the body in a simple way, with an exact solution to correct the problem area. Dr. Simmerman is very compassionate and empathetic to the emotions behind treatment and can relate personally, which is one of the best feelings knowing I am not alone. I highly recommend Dr. Simmerman!
Dr. Kaylee is absolutely incredible! This is actually my second time doing Pelvic Floor PT, but my first time going through it with Dr. Kaylee. My first time around, I went through it a couple of months post partum. I did find it informative, but I didn't find that it actually addressed the root cause of my issues. Now that I'm going through this the second time around with Dr. Kaylee I've seen, within just 4-6 wks, a lot of improvements. And, I'd probably see more if I were 100% compliant, but I'm closer to 80% compliant at the moment. My main goals in working with Dr. Kaylee have been: correct incontinence during jumping exercises, correct hip snapping, have my hips and pelvis in tip top shape so that when I have my second or even my third, it's an easier, faster birth. So far, I'm experiencing much less incontinence while jumping, improved breathing and less pain in the r side of my back when I breathe deeply, and less hip snapping. Thank you Dr. Kaylee!
Dr. Simmerman made me feel comfortable from the start with pelvic floor physical therapy. She is easy to talk to and gave me hope that there was a treatment aside from surgery for prolapse. She is very flexible with scheduling and offers multiple meeting location which is ideal for someone with a new baby. I highly recommend!
Cannot say ENOUGH good things about Kaylee! Perhaps the biggest misconception in WHO should be seeing a pelvic floor therapist is that it’s only for those women who have had babies. It’s just not true. EVERY woman would benefit from working with a pelvic floor therapist and if you’re in the Tampa Bay Area, this is your person.
After spending a lot of time reviewing my history and assessing my movement patterns, Kaylee went through everything with me and ensured I not only understood what she was prescribing for me but the why.
I walked away more informed and empowered about how to heal my body and to build strength and endurance in my pelvic floor.
